Exclusive interview with Andreea Gaul! She has an adorable Spearmint Baby and shares about beauty, food, home, and family over at andreeagaul. This chic Chicago mom is also a self-described skincare junkie.
Spearmint: What does a day in the life look like for you?
Andreea: 7 a.m. wake up and feed/play-time until nap time at 9 ish. Then, I squeeze in a quick workout before I get ready, have breakfast, and she wakes up again. Then feedings and play and naps, and I try and find time here and there to work.
Spearmint: What is your best piece of parenting advice to new moms?
Andreea: It’s ok to go off script. Just because you had a plan or the book said a certain thing doesn’t mean that’s how it will go. We’ve honestly let Alina lead the way and it’s been working out great. We don’t force anything just to fit some mold in a book. Every baby is different.
Spearmint: What is your best piece of advice to new moms for the labor/birth process?
Andreea: Know that everything including the pain is temporary. And you are stronger than you realize. Men can’t do what we can do and women are warriors.
Spearmint: What's your all-time favorite baby product?
Andreea: Wow this is hard. I think I’d go with what we used the most until recently and that’s the Baby Bjorn rocker.
Spearmint: Three baby names you love but won't be using?
Andreea: Madeleine, Alexandra, Olive
Spearmint: As a skincare junkie, what would be the top skincare product you'd recommend to new, tired mamas!?
Andreea: A good eye cream. Sisley makes this amazing eye and lip contour cream that is so clutch because you find yourself shushing your baby and pursed lips like that are bound to get some permanent lines ;)

More a question than a comment: Would you ever consider offering one-of-a-kind hand knitted by a Grandma baby items for sale? I am very impressed by your website and wondered if you would ever consider doing something like this? I am thinking I could knit a few things and ship to you and you could offer either to pay me for them & sell for whatever you want, or pay me for making if you buy the high quality yarn, etc. I do not make junk and my hand-crocheted and hand-knitted items will not fall apart or pill due to high quality yarns made of green and/or organic fibers for the youngest generation whose parents are concerned about living a very healthy life. Plus they are cute. Thanks for the look. My daughter just blessed me with another beautiful grandchild and I love shopping for her at your store!!!
